For youngsters get saivet(4mill), fiorillo(8mill) , galvan(2.4mil) and sakho(9mil) MUST buys. These guys are guarateed good. Other great players to get for cheap are mauricio(free transfer), carioca(3mill), opare(real madrid,250k), pichu atienza(atletico 350k buyout). Of these The only one i can use first season is carioca who has 2 stars. annoying thing with youngsters that you really need good scouts to see if they turn out good, since young players stats are randomly generated according to a rating. I've since changed it to mixed and haven't had the problem again, so I'm assuming it was that. And it's true, he really is always complaining about something, but it helps, I guess. haha. So here's my FM Career so far... Probably the balls being played to him are too direct, so you need to change the team passing style to something less direct. But I'm not 100% sure on that. And to be honest, seems like the ass man is always complaining about something, so I'd say only consider changing things if that striker's doing badly.
