1. Stick with 4-1-2-1-2. You beat West Ham 4-0 and Pompey have no natural striker available. Why rock the boat?
2. Not sure, but like the guy a few posts above me says, you can always sell him on for a tidy profit.
3. Yes, sign him! I’ve managed him before and he’s always been quality in every version of FM.

Mertesacker is an especially good buy because being German, he does not get called up to their national squad of regens, so the chance of him getting injured on intl duty is nil.

Sign both of em, the defender will at least be a good backup like others have said. He’s currently on £41,000 a week, I expect he will take a cut as he hasn’t been offered a contract yet..

The winger looks like one of those fantastic regens you get where he ends up nearly all 17-20 stats! He can run, dribble and cross. Good enough for at least back up!

Play the same way you did against West Ham against Pompey.

as stated in line 2 of the Harry Redknapp Guide to Wheelin’ and Dealin’ – yes. ’s free after all; if it doesn’t work out, try to sell him for more than his wages and you’ll be up overall. at the very least your reserves will have a really tall, strong defender, and that’s never a good thing to play against. doesn’t need to be too long a contract if you’re worried and things.

2. Worth a go, if he fails to make it you could probably sell for a profit.
3. Definate, I love bosmans in FM, even if they turn out poo you keep your kitty in tact
